⇣ What is a co-conbtribution? ⇣

Simply – it is the amount you have to pay

A co-contribution fee in the Queensland Career Start program is a mandatory, non-government financial contribution paid by students (or their employers/third parties) toward the cost of training. It ensures students are invested in their education, with fees often paid in installments to training providers.

The co-contribution can be paid by the student, employer, or a third party, but not by the training provider.

⇣ What is a Credit Transfer ⇣

A credit transfer is an administrative process where a training provider recognises and accepts previously completed units of competency from another Registered Training Organisation (RTO). It allows students to gain credit for identical or equivalent units without needing to repeat training or assessment.

  • Identical Units: It applies when the unit previously completed is identical or equivalent (mapped) to the unit in the new course.
  • Documentation: Students must provide formal evidence, such as a certified transcript or Statement of Attainment showing the completed unit.
  • No Charge: We will not charge you fees for a Credit Transfer.
  • Mandatory Recognition: If a student provides a valid, authenticated certificate for an identical unit, we will grant you a Credit Transfer.
  • Not the Same as RPL: Unlike Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which assesses work experience or informal learning, credit transfer only applies to completed formal studies.

⇣ Course Cost ⇣

The course cost is $2,530.00 (no GST), this fee is payable in three stages which corresponds with learning and assessment stages:

  • Section 1: $1,030.00 (no GST)
