20-21 RLSSQ Pool Lifeguard Award Update

The Pool Lifeguard Re-Accreditation course is for Lifeguard professionals who have the current Pool Lifeguard Units of Competency.
 
This course will provide participants with acceptable standards of knowledge‚ judgement and physical abilities in the supervision of people in swimming pools. Essential modules include: accident prevention‚ administration‚ public relations‚ education‚ rescue response and basic technical operations.
Minimum age requirement is 16 years.

Pre-requisites include an a current First Aid (HLTAID003) and an expiring Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard & Oxygen including units of competency

• SISCAQU002 Perform basic water rescues
• SISCAQU006 Supervise clients in aquatic locations
• SISCAQU007  Perform advanced water rescues
• PUAEME001  Provide emergency care
• PUAEME003  Administer oxygen in an emergency 
• HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resusciation

A copy of these units of competency will be required at the time of booking if issued by another provider.

Upon successful course completion, participants will be issued with Pool Lifeguard Re-Accreditation certificate 

The Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard  needs to be renewed every 12 months.
